Drug war: 1 dead, P3-million shabu seized
MANILA, Philippines — Another drug suspect was killed in a police operation in Bulacan yesterday.
Eight other ”high-value” drug pushers were arrested in Luzon in the past two days.
An alias Toti, who is on the drug watchlist in Malolos, drew his gun when he sensed he had sold shabu to undercover agents in Barangay Sto. Rosario at around 2:45 a.m., Senior Superintendent Romeo Caramat Jr., Bulacan police director, said.
Caramat said five sachets of shabu, a caliber .38 revolver, drug paraphernalia and marked money were recovered from the fatality.
Half kilo of shabu with an estimated street value of P3 million was recovered when police raided the house of Niño Villanueva, 38, in Barangay Bañag, Daraga, Albay.
Robert Tapalla, 34, alleged leader of a drug ring operating in Sorsogon City, was arrested in Barangay Balogo.
Brylle Anthony Sinfuego, 29, and Ericson de Alagdon, 28, were arrested in Barangay Sto. Tomas, Magarao, Camarines Sur and Pigcale, Legazpi, Albay, respectively.
Also arrested were two alleged members of drug rings supplying shabu in Isabela, Quirino and Nueva Vizcaya.
Eugenio de Leon, 35, councilman of Barangay Mabini, Santiago, Isabela, was nabbed in Barangay Rizal. June Sebastian was arrested in Sta. Maria, Maddela, Quirino.
Ernesto Villador was collared in Barangay Rosario, Santiago, Isabela.
Chief Superintendent Mario Espino, Cagayan Valley police director, said Villador is in President Duterte’s list of drug personalities.
