MANILA, Philippines — Senior citizens in Las Piñas can now avail themselves of free movies at malls in the city.
The local government and the management of SM Southmall have signed a memorandum of agreement giving free movie passes to the elderly on Monday and Tuesday.
Robinson’s Place and Vista Mall also offer free movies to the seniors.
Senior citizens are also given “green cards,”which they can use at the Las Piñas Doctors Hospital, San Juan de Dios Hospital and Philippine General Hospital.
Of the 80,000 registered senior citizens in the city, 5,000 are indigents who receive P500 allowance monthly.
