Teen worker stabbed dead in Quezon City

MANILA, Philippines — An 18-year-old construction worker was fatally stabbed while he was sleeping in the construction site barracks in Quezon City yesterday after midnight.

A witness told police he saw a still unidentified assailant stabbing RG Bamyano in the barracks of the LRB construction site in Barangay Holy Spirit at around 12:30 a.m. after he was awakened by moaning.

He said Bamyano had just come from a birthday party from another construction site before he went to sleep. 

The unidentified assailant fled while Bamyano was rushed to the East Avenue Medical Center, where he passed away.

The case was turned over to the Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit of the Quezon City police.
