LIST: Class suspensions for January 15
MANILA, Philippines — Several local government units announced suspension of classes on Monday.
Albay Governor Al Francis Bichara issued an advisory indicating that classes from kinder to senior high school in public and private schools are suspended due to the “continuous abnormality” of Mayon Volcano.
Bicahara said all public schools would be used as evacuation centers.
On the other hand, town mayors of Sto. Domingo and Tabaco, Albay also declared class suspensions in affected schools in their respective jurisdictions.

According to the state weather bureau, serious flooding is expected in low-lying areas and landslides in mountainous areas of Southern Leyte due to the heavy rainfall.
