Edu Punay - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Applicants for three vacant positions in the Legal Education Board (LEB), the regulatory body of law schools, will face the Judicial and Bar Council (JBC) today.

In an announcement published in The STAR on April 16, the JBC said it would interview the eight applicants for the LEB posts.

They are Francisca Claver, Macacuna Moslem, Josefe Sorrera-Ty, Ferdinand Tan, Marjorie Uyengco-Nolasco, Fe Añonuevo, Edgar Avila and Emmanuel Fernando.

Two other applicants – Abelardo Domondon and Manuel Riguera – have been interviewed by the council for earlier vacancies in the LEB.

The three posts will represent the Philippine Association of Law Schools, Philippine Association of Law Professors and Ranks of Active Law Practitioners in the LEB board.

The JBC also listed 171 applicants for vacant positions for judges in various regional trial courts in the National Capital Region.

“The public may submit to the JBC secretariat sworn complaint, report or opposition against any of the forenamed applicants,” read the announcement signed by Supreme Court clerk of court and JBC ex-officio secretary Felipa Anama.
