2 drown in Benguet, Sorsogon

MANILA, Philippines - A six-year-old girl and a construction worker drowned in Itogon, Benguet  and Sorsogon City, respectively, on Sunday.

Eunic Codyapas, who was swimming in a kiddie pool at a private resort, reportedly transferred to a swimming pool for adults when her father left her after a downpour at around 12:40 p.m. She died on the way to the Baguio General Hospital.

Jerick Carillo, 21, took a dip on a beach after drinking liquor. The victim was on an outing with his fellow workers and relatives at Dizon beach resort in Barangay Caricaran, Bacon District.
