Cash rewards for honor students in Muntinlupa

MANILA, Philippines -  The Muntinlupa City government gave cash incentives to elementary and high school students who graduated with honors yesterday.

Mayor Jaime Fresnedi said the students received cash reward of up to P10,000 under the city’s scholarship program.

“The cash incentives were given to the students in recognition of their outstanding performance,” he said.

 Honor students from elementary level received P5,000 (Top 1-3), P4,000 (Top 4-6) and P3,000 (Top 7-10). Honor students from secondary level received P10,000 (Top 1-3), P7,000 (Top 4-6) and P5,000 (Top 7-10.)

Fresnedi hoped that the incentive would encourage other students to excel in school.
