MANILA, Philippines - Two alleged robbers were killed in an alleged shootout with police officers in Sta. Cruz, Manila before dawn yesterday.
Senior Police Officer 3 Milbert Balinggan described the slain suspects as between 30 and 45 years old, at least 5’5” tall and one of them had a Bahala Na Gang tattoo on the right hand.
Shortly before 3 a.m., the Manila Police District Station 3 received a call from a man who said he escaped from two men who tried to rob him at the corner of Yuseco and Oroqueta streets.
Chief Inspector Michael Garcia, of the Blumentritt police community precinct, and his team went to the area to check.
Garcia and his men tried to approach the suspects, who reportedly shot at them, triggering a firefight.
Balinggan said they are still trying to identify the suspects.
