MANILA, Philippines -  A Korean-American man who allegedly sells party drugs in parts of Luzon and the Visayas was arrested in Pasay City Wednesday night.

Police officers from the Drug Enforcement Group (DEG) and city police and agents from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency’s Special Enforcement Service seized 140 tablets of ecstasy from Jun No, an American of Korean descent, at the parking lot of a restaurant along Seaside Boulevard in Pasay City at past 9 p.m.

No also allegedly offered shabu to an operative who posed as a buyer, said acting DEG director Senior Superintendent Graciano Mijares.

No could have formed an illegal drug networked as he stayed in Cebu for three years before flying to Manila, he added.

Mijares said they are also checking No’s activities before he went to Cebu.

Authorities are also checking if No supplied drugs in popular casinos and sold them at outdoor events such as concerts, Mijares said.

No had also been monitored by the Anti-Illegal Drugs Group before it was dissolved in late January, he added.

No underwent inquest proceedings on charges of drug trafficking before the Pasay prosecutor’s office yesterday.
