TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan, Philippines – Parts of Luzon will experience a power interruption tomorrow.
Lilibeth Gaydowen, National Grid Corp. of the Philippines-North Luzon spokesperson, said an 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. blackout would be experienced in the entire province of Quirino and parts of Isabela and Ifugao.
The blackout will pave the way for the reconfiguration of structures along the Santiago-Batal 69-kiloVolt line, construction of metering facilities and replacement of hardware along transmission lines serving the electric cooperatives in the three provinces.
A 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. power outage will hit the towns of San Manuel, Moncada, Paniqui, Anao, Gerona, Ramos, Pura, Sta. Ignacia, Victoria, San Clemente, Mayantoc, Camiling and San Jose in Tarlac as well as Nampicuan, Cuyapo and parts of Guimba in Nueva Ecija.
The blackout will allow for maintenance works along the Maliwalo-Paniqui 69-kV line.
