MAGUINDANAO , Philippines – A newly improved farm-to-market road connecting two agricultural villages in the municipality of Sultan Kudarat in this province was opened on Friday.
The P13.3-million Banubo-Mulaog Road was constructed by the municipal government through a grant from the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao’s yearly infrastructure subsidy.
More than 2,000 farmers, mostly members of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front, will benefit from the newly concreted road.
Farmers used to incur huge losses when transporting their produce to the market and trading centers before the road was paved.
