CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines – At least 40 police officers are being investigated in connection with their alleged involvement in the illegal drug trade in Cavite.
Superintendent Janet Arinabo, Cavite police spokesperson, withheld the identities of the police officers pending the result of the probe.
Arinabo denied the policemen were relieved from their posts.
She said only five police officers were sacked after they tested positive for drug use. These police officers with ranks from Police Officer 1 to Senior Police 3 are facing administrative charges.
