Village exec shot dead

ILIGAN CITY, Philippines – A village councilman in Barangay Saray in this city was shot dead by unidentified men on Wednesday night.

Ronaldo Fuentes was having a drinking spree with his friends a few meters away from his house when three motorcycles pulled over and one of its riders opened fire.

Fuentes was pronounced dead on arrival in a hospital.

Probers are looking into drugs as among the motives for the killing, noting that Barangay Saray is a known drug lair in this city.
