4 siblings dead in Tacloban fire

TACLOBAN CITY, Philippines – Four siblings died in a fire that destroyed their house in Barangay 78 in this city before dawn yesterday.

Dan Jade Morales, 16;  Glen Mark, 14; Glen Marie, 11, and Gwyneth, 9, were trapped on the second floor of their house.

The victims were reportedly sleeping when their parents left them to go to the market.

The ground floor of the house was used as a canteen and tire vulcanizing shop.

Arson investigator Anthony Alvin Duran said they have yet to determine the cause of the fire.
