Training school named after Jesse Robredo
MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine Public Safety College-Regional Training School (PPSC-RTS) in Cebu is now called Camp Jesse M. Robredo Regional Training Center – National Police Training Institute.
President Aquino signed Republic Act 10797 on May 10 renaming the training school.
The Department of the Interior and Local Government is mandated to issue the rules, orders and circulars to implement the provisions of the law.
Robredo attended the ground-breaking of PPSC-RTS and addressed a Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Community Investigative Support summit before he died in a plane crash on Aug. 18, 2012.
The PPSC-RTS conducts training for uniformed personnel of the Philippine National Police, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology and Bureau of Fire Protection.
