Dagupan dancers win Festival of the North contest

DAGUPAN CITY, Philippines – This city’s Bangus Festival dancers bagged anew the championship in the Festivals of the North street dancing competition on Friday.

It was the third year in a row for the group to win the contest.

The dancers came from the villages of Pantal, Calmay, Salapingao, Lomboy, Carael and Pugaro.

They received P400,000 cash, a championship crown, and P20,000 for another minor award.

The group bested seven other festival contingents from different parts of Northern Luzon.  

The other winning contingents are the Dinamulag Mango Festival of Masinloc, Zambales; Halamanan Festival of Guiguinto, Bulacan;  Pamulinawen Festival of Laoag, Ilocos Norte, and Abel Iloko Festival of Caoayan, Ilocos Sur.
