DOH gives ambulant dental clinic to North Cotabato

KIDAPAWAN CITY, Philippines – North Cotabato’s Muslim, Christian and Lumad folks now have an ambulant dental clinic that can tour around to serve them.

North Cotabato Gov. Emmylou Taliño-Mendoza said she is thankful to the Department of Health (DOH) for providing her administration with a six-wheeler dental bus, now in the custody of the Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO).

Mendoza said the customized air-conditioned van-type truck, equipped with a dental chair and some instruments dentists use, will hasten their dental missions in all of North Cotabato’s 17 towns and the 40 barangays in Kidapawan City, the provincial capital.

“The people of the province are thankful to the DOH,” she said.

The provincial government has a continuing “Serbisyong Totoo” medical and dental outreach missions serving the needy North Cotabato Muslim, Christian and Lumad people.

The provincial government had served more than 20,000 medical and dental patients in the past 24 months, according to documents obtained from local government units and the IPHO.
