MANILA, Philippines - The police have identified four of six individuals who were killed in a car crash in Tagaytay City early Monday.
Tagaytay City chief of police Superintendent Ferdinand Quirante said that four men and two women were aboard a Toyota Vios with plate number AHA 5287 when it crashed into a concrete barrier and a tree.
According to a report from radio dzMM, the police identified Ronalyn Bautista, 17, of Kawit, Cavite as one of the victims based on an ID recovered.
The other victims were identified as Jamie Gubaton-Garcia, 16, of Kawit, Cavite, John Paul Tena, 15, and John Rosel Garcia of Buhay na Tubig, Imus, Cavite.
The police is working on identifying the two other victims. The remains of the six victims were transferred to Mel Funeral Home Services.
Quirante said that a witness saw the victims coming out of a convenience store and swiftly went along the Tagaytay-Calamba Road in Barangay San Jose, where the vehicle bumped to the concrete barrier and trees.
The vehicle reportedly exploded while the police were trying to pull the victims out.
