MANILA, Philippines – Two mild earthquakes hit Eastern Samar and Occidental Mindoro yesterday, state seismologists said.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the first quake, with a magnitude of 3.2, was recorded at 2:12 a.m. The epicenter of the quake was located at 85 kilometers southeast of Dolores, Eastern Samar.
A 2.9 magnitude quake was recorded at 2:44 p.m. 21 kilometers northeast of Lubang, Occidental Mindoro.
Phivolcs said no damage or aftershocks are expected from the quakes.
