Car falls into ravine; 3 hurt
TAGKAWAYAN, Quezon, Philippines – Three persons suffered serious injuries when their car fell into a 10-foot ravine along Quirino Highway in Barangay Rizal here yesterday morning.
Alfonso Lanzuela, Mark Anthony Lanzuela and Esmer dela Peña Albay were in a Honda City (RAM-156) when the vehicle hit a tree and fell into the ravine, said Senior Inspector Reynaldo Reyes, Tagkawayan police chief.
The victims remained confined at the Bicol Medical Center in Naga City yesterday.
In Solana, Cagayan, a farmer, who was allegedly drunk, died when he fell into a ravine.
Rody Dangay was on his way home after a drinking spree with his friends in Barangay Sampaguita when the incident occurred, said Police Officer 1 Danilo Binondo Jr.
Dangay was pronounced dead on arrival at the St. Paul Hospital.
