Spaghetti downs 20 in Isabela

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – At least 20 people, mostly children, were hospitalized after eating spaghetti during a Christmas party in Luna, Isabela on Friday.

Joseph Soingco, chairman of Barangay Harana, told The STAR samples of the spaghetti, including some of the ingredients used, were submitted to the Department of Health for testing.

Soingco said the victims suffered nausea, vomiting and abdominal and chest pain. They were brought to the Cauayan City District Hospital for treatment.

Among the victims was the three-year-old son of the municipal official who hosted the Christmas party.
