Pangasinan shootings leave 2 dead, 2 hurt
SAN CARLOS CITY, Pangasinan, Philippines – Two persons were killed and two others were wounded in separate shooting incidents in Pangasinan on Thursday night and before dawn yesterday.
Denver Matabang, 32, a resident of Barangay Bega was gunned down while having a drinking spree in Barangay Pagal here, Superintendent Charlie Umayam, San Carlos City police chief told The STAR.
Matabang was pronounced dead on arrival at the Pangasinan Provincial Hospital. His companion Rodolfo Resuello was shot in the left foot and brought to the Pangasinan Doctors Hospital for treatment.
In Calasiao town, Rommel Lopez, 45, a resident of Sitio Bakul, was driving his motorcycle on his way to the town proper when he was shot by two men on a motorcycle. He was pronounced dead on arrival in a hospital.
Ferdinand dela Cruz, 38, was wounded in another shooting incident in Barangay Calmay in Dagupan City around 1 a.m. yesterday.
Superintendent Christopher Abrahano, Dagupan City police chief, said the suspect, identified as Alvaro Queliza, escaped.
