TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – A salesman and his 55-year-old aunt died after their motorcycle collided with a car driven by a retired policeman in Bantay, Ilocos Sur on Wednesday.

Roger Bautista Jr., 25, and Magdalena Natividad  were declared dead on arrival at the Metro Vigan Cooperative Hospital, where the former police officer, identified as Clemente Panela, 49, was also brought for treatment.

Case investigator Police Officer 3  Jennifer Tacla said Panela, who was driving a Mitsubishi Gallant (UAR-450), sideswiped Jonathan Padre in Barangay Puspus and another car in Barangay Pulag before figuring in a collision with the motorcycle of Bautista and Natividad and a van.

Panela’s car crashed into a power post after hitting the victim’s motorcycle.
