Raymund Catindig - The Philippine Star

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – Two New People’s Army (NPA) rebels were wounded in an encounter with police and military operatives who took over their encampment in Barangay Asinga Via in Baggao, Cagayan yesterday.

The NPA guerrillas dragged their wounded rebels as they escaped, said Chief Inspector Romar Pacis, Baggao police chief.

Pacis said authorities recovered guns, sacks of rice, food, an improvised bomb, a laptop and medical supplies from the NPA lair.

A manhunt has been launched for the rebels.
