2,000 cops secure Undas in Central Luzon

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines – A total of 2,000 police officers will be deployed in Central Luzon starting today to assist motorists headed for their provinces for the observance of the All Saints’ and Souls’ Days.

Chief Superintendent Rudy Lacadin, Police Regional Office 3 acting regional director, ordered all city and provincial directors to stay alert and vigilant.

He said security inspection and police presence have been intensified in all bus terminals and places of public convergence.

Assistance hubs manned by 1,600 police personnel will be put up along major and secondary roads and near cemeteries and transport terminals.

Lacadin said the officers will also assist those who might develop health problems.
