BOCAUE, Bulacan –Heavy traffic is expected on the northbound lane of the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) along Bocaue and Marilao today.
Francisco Dagohoy, media relations officer of Tollways Management Corp., told The STAR around 60,000 people are expected to troop to the Philippine Arena here to watch Eat Bulaga’s special show, dubbed “AlDub -Sa Tamang Panahon.”
At least 55,000 tickets were sold for the event, featuring actor Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza, popularly known as Yaya Dub.
Dagohoy said NLEX had coordinated with Maligaya Corp., which is in charge of security at the Philippine Arena, along with Tape Inc., which produces Eat Bulaga, for the security and traffic preparations.
Dagohoy said they expect traffic to be snarled early in the morning with arrival of those watching the show and when the program ends at past noon.
A one-lane counter flow on the southbound portion of NLEX from Bocaue to Marilao had been set up to ease the flow of traffic, he said.
He said NLEX would also deploy additional traffic personnel, medical teams and ambulances.
