3 kidnap suspects arrested

OZAMIZ CITY, Philippines – Three men tagged in a series of kidnapping and carjacking incidents in Northern Mindanao were arrested on Saturday in this city.

George Edmilao, Jamaodey Maunga and Victor Tabada, all of Cagayan de Oro City, were arrested by this city’s Mayor Reynaldo Parojinog Sr. and some police officers.

The suspects reportedly held captive cab driver Jerry Jeralde at a pension house in Barangay Banadero.

Jeralde managed to escape by jumping from the window of the pension house and sought the help of village officials.

After he was informed about the incident, Parojinog, and his bodyguards as well as some police officers responded and arrested the suspects.
