MANILA, Philippines — Makati Rep. Abigail Binay on Monday said that she wants her husband to continue with her projects as she reaches her three-year limit in the Congress.

Luis Campos, husband of Binay, will run for congressman of the 2nd district of Makati City under the United Nationalist Alliance.

"Kasi gusto ko ho yung mga proyekto ko maituloy niya. Problema 'pag iba na 'yung nakaupong congressman iibahin na yung napagpatuloy namin na proyekto," Binay told members of the press during an ambush interview.

The Makati lawmaker pointed out that her husband is qualified to replace her, citing that Campos has a master's degree in business administration.

"Businessman po siya. Hindi naman siya pinulot lang somewhere," Binay said.

Binay was present at the Commission on Elections to support her father, Vice President Jejomar Binay, who filed his certificate of candidacy for president.
