2 suspects in cabbie’s rob-slay fall

ILOILO CITY, Philippines – Two of three persons tagged in the robbery and murder of a cab driver in Pavia town, Iloilo are now in police custody.

Neniel Dakinay, 27, was collared in Barangay Lanit, Jaro district hours after the killing, while his relative, who claimed to be 16 years old, surrendered to the Jaro police on Monday morning, according to Pavia police chief Senior Inspector Dante Dumaguing.

The suspects, along with a certain Jared Baylon, 18, allegedly robbed and stabbed dead Jonathan Causing, 47, in Barangay Tigum before dawn on Sunday.

Causing was found bloodied near his cab and was declared dead on arrival at the Western Visayas State University Medical Center in this city.

Dumaguing urged Baylon to surrender.
