Retiree claims P30-million jackpot

Perseus Echeminada - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - A 65-year-old retiree from Pangasinan won the P30-million pot in the 6/55 Grand Lotto draw on Sept. 21, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) announced yesterday.

Jose Ferdinand Rojas II, PCSO general manager, said the lucky bettor got the six-digit winning combination of 11-12-25-35-38-43. The bettor also had an additional P347,400 for his system 7 bet worth P140.

The winner, he added, is married with no children and retired early this year. Rojas said the winner plans to donate a portion of his winnings to the church, expand his small store and save for future needs.

Grand Lotto 6/55 is drawn every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.
