Eva Visperas - The Philippine Star

ROSALES, Pangasinan, Philippines – Two police officers and their civilian companion were hurt when their patrol jeep slammed into a concrete wall along the Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway in this town yesterday.

Police Officer 3 Gregorio Abalos, 45, who was driving the Toyota Hilux (SJG 959) patrol car, was brought to the Dr. Marcelo Chan Memorial Hospital for treatment.

His companions, Police Officer 1 Arvin Asis and civilian Romino Navarro, suffered minor injuries, according to Chief Inspector Norman Florentino, town police chief.

Florentino said the two police officers came from Manila, where they brought a patient to a hospital.

“Maybe Abalos was too tired as they did not stop to rest and just drove straight back to Pangasinan,” he said.
