ICC to boost Iloilo tourism, trade

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The Iloilo Convention Center (ICC) is expected to boost the province’s tourism and trade as well as generate jobs for residents.

The newly completed ICC, which will be inaugurated by President Aquino tomorrow, is seen by local business leaders as the province’s ticket to becoming the prime convention and event destination in the Visayas.

Located within the business park in Mandurriao district, the two-story ICC will be the venue for local and international conferences and exhibits.

It can accommodate more than 3,000 people and its plenary hall at the ground floor can be divided into four halls. Its second floor has seven function rooms, a museum and a VIP (very important person) room.

The ICC was designed by Ilonggo architect William Coscolluela and is a key project of Senate President Franklin Drilon.
