Australian caught with gun at Davao airport

DAVAO CITY, Philippines, Philippines – An Australian man was arrested for carrying a gun at the Davao International Airport on Thursday.

Ian Maxwell Parker was charged with violating Republic Act 1059, the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition, and was prevented from leaving.

Police said Parker failed to show any document allowing him to carry a  .38 caliber revolver that was discovered in his luggage.

An investigation is underway.
