Tricycle collides with dump truck; 2 dead

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – Two students died and five others were critically injured when their tricycle collided with a dump truck in Barangay Gamit in Saguday, Quirino on Monday.

Kenneth Badil, 17, and Shiela Castillo, 13, were among the six passengers of the tricycle driven by Fony Reyes, said Police Officer 1 Robinson Tabag.

Reyes, along with Aloha Pukkaw, Hazel Jane Castillo, Judy Claire Sabado and Valerie Ramos remain confined in a hospital.

Responding policemen arrested ?dump truck driver Mortimer Tacadena.
