5 drug suspects fall in Bulacan raid

NORZAGARAY, Bulacan, Philippines  – Five suspected drug traffickers, three of them said to be included in the list of this province’s most wanted, were arrested in this town last Friday.

Julius Cardano, alias Berting, 33; Howell Ong, alias, Tangkad, 45; Ramon Lapig, 51; Jayvee Faustino, 25, and Ana Marie Serrano, 33, were arrested near the gate of a cement factory in Barangay Minuyan.

Cardanao, Ong and Serrano were reportedly among the province’s top 10 wanted drug traffickers.

Reports said the suspects were supplying drugs to truck drivers and helpers of the factory.

Seized from the suspects were five plastic sachets said to contain dried marijuana, four sachets containing shabu, drug paraphernalia and marked money.
