2 dead, 1 injured in road mishaps

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – Two men died while another was injured in separate vehicular accidents in Sto. Domingo, Ilocos Sur and Sta. Maria, Isabela last Friday. ?

Robert Molina, 26, and Jackson Quines, 22, died at the scene after their motorcycle collided with a bus in Sto. Domingo, according to town police chief Senior Inspector Edgardo Medrano.

Bus driver Glen Burgos said the victims tried to overtake another vehicle, causing their motorcycle to slam into his bus at around 2:30 a.m.

Police have yet to identify which of the two victims was driving.

Meanwhile, farmer Marcos Canceran was taken to a hospital for treatment after he was run over by a bus in Barangay Naganacan, Sta. Maria.

Town police chief Senior Inspector Jeffrey Raposas said the driver did not stop the bus to check on the victim.
