Bacolod bettor claims P9-M lotto pot

MANILA, Philippines - A 36-year-old computer programmer from Bacolod City has claimed the jackpot of the 6/45 Mega Lotto draw on Aug. 24, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) announced yesterday.

Jose Ferdinand Rojas II, PCSO general manager, said the bettor hit the six-digit winning combination 07-08-10-11-12-23, which has a jackpot of P9 million.

He said the computer programmer won an additional P77,000 when he bet P560 for system 8 for 28 combinations.

Rojas said the winner, who is married with one child, has been playing lotto for 10 years.
