13 nabbed for illegal fishing at Hundred Islands

ALAMINOS CITY, Philippines – Thirteen fishermen were arrested for illegal fishing at the Hundred Islands National Park.  

Boat captain Bienvenido Lipango, 56; Allan Igano, 46; Amboy Corpuz, 46; Raffy Elisan, 23;  Rigor Corpin, 20; Rene Masbang, 44; Douglas Dizon, 24; Kevin Matel, 25; Jonathan Guarin, 18; Gino Narvay, 34;  Richard Corpin, 33; and Rolly Viray, 20, all residents of Barangay Poblacion in  Sual, Pangasinan, and Danny Berk, 37, a resident of  Barangay Pantal in Dagupan City, Pangasinan, were collared in the waters of Barangay Lucap over the weekend. 

Authorities confiscated the fishermen’s boat F/B Princess Romina, fishing nets and around  20 kilos of assorted fish.
