School guard shoots two janitors

UMINGAN, Pangasinan, Philippines – Two janitors of a public elementary school here were wounded after a security guard shot them during a drinking session Monday night.

Marvin Pabalan and Aniano Perras were taken to the Umingan Community Hospital for treatment of gunshot wounds, while the suspect, identified as Marlo Suitos, escaped after the incident.

The three were having a drinking session at the Umingan Elementary School when a quarrel broke out among them, according to Chief Inspector Remegio Yapes, town police chief.

Suitos reportedly pulled out a gun and shot the victims, hitting them in the shoulders and legs.

Probers recovered bullet shells for a .45 caliber pistol at the crime scene.
