Two bodies found in Batangas

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines  – Two bodies, including that of a 16-year-old girl who was reported missing, were found separately in San Pascual and Malvar towns in Batangas yesterday.

Police said Melchor Magno and Armando Loquia found the body of Mariz delos Reyes, an out-of-school youth, at a grassy portion of Barangay Bulihan in Malvar. Her father earlier sought police assistance after she failed to return home on Aug. 17.

The second body, believed to be a victim of summary execution, was found under a bridge in Barangay Palsahingin, San Pascual. Police said the man had multiple gunshot wounds.

A construction worker discovered the body among the piles of garbage along the creek.
