MANILA, Philippines - Still unidentified burglars broke into the house of a son of former Senator Panfilo Lacson in Parañaque City early yesterday and carted away valuables including electronic gadgets.
Parañaque City Police chief, Senior Superintendent Ariel Andrade said Ronald Jay Lacson, 41, reported the burglary of his house at Cypress Drive inside BF Homes subdivision. Police said the burglary happened at about 4 a.m.
Initial police investigation showed that Lacson woke up to go to the toilet when he noticed a man going out of their house gate.
Alarmed, police said Lacson then turned-on the house lights and was shocked to see the living room already ransacked.
Lacson told police that among the items taken by the burglars were his mobile phone and a laptop computer.
According to Andrade, investigators have already invited for questioning five suspects, including a house painter who was earlier hired by Lacson for a painting job at his house.
Andrade said a follow-up police operation is now ongoing to look for other possible suspects as well to recover Lacson’s stolen belongings.
Lacson ran in the Cavite vice gubernatorial race during the 2013 polls but lost to Jolo Revilla, son of Sen. Ramon Bong Revilla Jr.
