Student hangs self

NORTH COTABATO, Philippines   –  A 19-year-old student took a video of herself tying a rope around her neck before hanging herself in Carmen town in this province on Sunday.

The body of April Rose Jimenez, a graduating student of the University of Southern Mindanao, was found in her room by her parents at past noon.

Relatives said they noticed that Jimenez was distraught days before she committed suicide.

Responding village officials found a mobile phone containing a video of Jimenez bidding her parents goodbye.
