Quake hits Southern Tagalog

MANILA, Philippines - A magnitude-4.3 earthquake rocked parts of Southern Tagalog yesterday afternoon, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said.

The quake occurred at 12:49 p.m. and its epicenter was located 30 kilometers northwest of Paluan in Occidental Mindoro.

The tremor was felt at Intensity 3 in Tagaytay and Intensity 2 in Batangas City and Bauan, both in Batangas, and Puerto Galera in Oriental Mindoro.

Phivolcs said mild quakes also occurred in Burgos, Ilocos Norte; Bayombong in Nueva Vizcaya, and in Tingloy in Batangas.
