Sales lady wins lotto pot

Perseus Echeminada - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - A 51-year-old sales lady from Laguna, who has been betting on a set of numbers given by a late relative since two years ago, won the jackpot in the 6/45 Mega Lotto’s July 27 draw, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) announced yesterday.

The winner said the six-digit winning combination: 01-02-05-06-10-20 was given to her by a relative when she visited her in a hospital two years ago.

PCSO general manager Jose Ferdinand Rojas II said the relative asked the winner to continue betting on the numbers.

The woman claimed the jackpot prize amounting to P9 million at the PCSO office in Mandaluyong last Friday.

The winner, who is married with two children, plans to share her winnings with the heirs of her late relative and her siblings, and save for the needs of her own family.

Rojas said the winner also plans to invest in business.
