Reward for arrest of dancer’s killers raised to P.3 M
MANILA, Philippines - The reward for information leading to the arrest of the killers of a member of the male dance group Masculados Dos has been raised to P300,000, a police official said yesterday.
Aside from the P100,000 offered by the city government of Antipolo, Rizal police director Senior Superintendent Bernabe Balba said the municipal government of Angono offered P50,000 and the family of the victim, Marcelo “Ozu” Ong, would give P150,000 to anybody who could identify and help arrest his killers.
The family is hoping the reward money would help convince witnesses to surface and lead police officers to the suspects.
Ong, 30, was on his way home to Primrose Hills Subdivision in Angono when he was shot in front of the gate of the village.
The gunmen escaped taking Ong’s car with them.
Investigators eyed business dispute as a possible motive for the killing after a relative of the victim revealed that Ong owed his business partner money.
A task group has been created to investigate the killing.
