CAMP DIEGO SILANG, La Union, Philippines – A village chief wanted for allegedly killing a six-year-old boy and wounding his father in Bangar, La Union was arrested yesterday in Magalang, Pampanga.

Marlou Lucina, 33, chairman of Barangay Quintarong in Bangar, was collared by joint elements of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) and the La Union police in Barangay Sto. Niño.

Lucina’s arrest was based on a warrant issued by La Union Judge Manuel Aquino for the death of Stephen Nicolai Munio and the wounding of Nazer Munio, according to Superintendent Angeles Genorga Jr., CIDG-Region 1 officer-in-charge.

Reports said the victims were sitting in front of their house in Barangay Quintarong when the suspect shot them last year.
