MANILA, Philippines - Two moderate earthquakes hit parts of the Davao region yesterday, but did not cause damage or injury, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
Phivolcs said the quakes of magnitudes 4.4 and 4.2 occurred at 4:42 a.m. and 9:45 a.m., respectively.
The magnitude 4.2 quake was felt at Intensity 2 in General Santos City. Its epicenter was at 68 kilometers southeast of Governor Generoso in Davao Oriental.
The epicenter of the magnitude 4.4 quake was in Kapalong, Davao del Norte.
