LAGUNA, Philippines – Two women who were among four persons reportedly snatched by three armed men in Muntinlupa City on Sunday were released in Cabuyao City in this province.
The two other victims, including a two-year-old boy, remain in the hands of the kidnappers, according to Senior Superintendent Florendo Saligao, Laguna police director.
Saligao said Racquel Apolonio and Robielyn Gresones sought the help of the police after the kidnappers dumped them in Barangay Pulo.
The women said they were in a Toyota Vios (ALA-1169) driven by another woman – whose name was withheld – with her son on board when a car blocked them along the Putatan road.
Two armed men poked a gun at them and drove their car toward the South Luzon Expressway in Cabuyao.
Saligao said the victims had just visited a relative at the New Bilibid Prison and were on their way home when they were snatched at around 3 p.m.
Police were dispatched to rescue the woman and her son, believed to be held in Barangay Canlubang.
Saligao told The STAR they were able to locate the kidnappers and tried contacting them. He said they were waiting for the suspects’ response.
