Septuagenarian sisters killed at home

Cet Dematera - The Philippine Star

LEGAZPI CITY, Philippines  – Two women in their 70s were found dead with stab wounds at their home in Tabaco City, Albay shortly before midnight Sunday.

Aniceta Borabo, 74, and her sister Lidorica, 70, were believed to have been dead for more than 12 hours before they were found at their home in Barangay Pawa, Chief Inspector Rober Capuz, operations officer of the city police, said.

Capuz said Aniceta’s daughter Joan, who was also injured, was found sitting beside her mother by responding police officers.

Joan told police that two men armed with knives barged into their house and stabbed them.

Capuz said it could be possible that Joan killed the victims, as she appeared to be mentally disturbed while being interrogated by the police.

He said they would have Joan undergo a psychiatric test before making any conclusion.
