Taxi driver hunted for rape

BAGUIO CITY, Philippines – Police are hunting down a taxi driver who reportedly raped a passenger in his cab in Camp 7 here last Thursday.

The victim, whose name was withheld, described the driver to be between 30 and 40 years old and stocky.

The victim said she flagged down the taxi along Leonard Wood Road and asked to be taken to San Vicente Road. She said the driver instead brought her to Camp 7, gagged her with a handkerchief and raped her at gunpoint.

After the rape, the victim said the taxi driver dropped her off on Harrison Road.
